Aiden and Marissa have been together for a year. They recently got engaged this June in Amsterdam, then wed in Denmark last week!! Even though this shoot happened before their nuptials; it is clear to see it was coming! Aiden is my baby cousin (okay, so he's not a baby, but to me he will always be that). He's in the Air Force, stationed in Germany where he met Marissa (whose father is also in the military). This session was from the first time he brought Marissa to meet us-aka her super awesome wickedly cool in-laws! I am super excited to welcome her into our family! Gah! You can tell by the way they look at each other its the real deal. I had a blast photographing the woman that puts a smile on my (baby) cousin's face. Best wishes to Aiden and Marissa! Sedale + Raione
In Chinese philosophy, yin and yang describe how seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world, and how they may give rise to each other as they interrelate to one another.
Y'all, I couldn't think of a better analogy to describe these two. Sedale and Raione, or as well call them in our house Uncle Sedale and Aunt Rai, could not have been more perfectly designed for one another. Rai is a go getter, constantly striving to better herself and the people around her. She takes care of business and runs on faith. Sedale is easily the funniest guy you'll ever meet. He is a hard worker, but keeps things simple. In the midst of Rai's chaos Sedale brings out the fun and adventure in her. In the mundane, Rai, is Sedale's driving force. They bring balance to one another in ways they sometimes don't even realize they need. What an incredible gift it is that I get to call these two friends, and what an amazing thing it is for my daughter to have another example of true love looks like.
